Reward offered to find North Texas horse abuser
The Humane Society of North Texas is offering a reward to find who abused and abandoned a horse.
The group is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the 12-year-old mare's abuser(s).
When the Humane Society rescued Stella in June, she could barely stand up, so a sling was created keep her upright.
“We don't know a lot about her past,” said Whitney Hanson with the Humane Society of North Texas. “Like I said, she was found wandering down the road. She is severely emaciated and horses don't get like that overnight. She's several hundred pounds underweight
Even though Stella still needs her sling to stand, Humane Society officials say she's regaining strength.
