Man found dead in burning South Dallas home

A man was killed overnight in a house fire in South Dallas.

Firefighters arrived at the home on Burger Avenue near Malcolm X Boulevard and Pennsylvania Avenue around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.

They found the man dead in the front room.

One firefighter was taken to the hospital for a heat-related injury.
