Keller student brings handgun, ammunition to middle school

FORT WORTH, Texas - There will be more security at Timberview Middle School after a student brought a gun and ammunition to school.

Timberview Middle is in Fort Worth but part of the Keller Independent School District.

Parents received a letter letting them know a student showed some bullets to a classmate on Wednesday. That classmate reported it.

Administrators later looked in the student’s locker and found a handgun inside a duffle bag. The student was removed from campus.

Fort Worth police said they were not notified about the incident.
