Dallas substation fire causes power outages

DALLAS - Oncor crews worked to restore power after a fire at a power substation in east Oak Cliff.

The fire started around 12:30 a.m. at the facility on Sargent Road. Firefighters quickly put out the flames, but homes and businesses in two Dallas neighborhoods lost power.

There are now fewer than 1,000 customers still without power in Dallas County.

The cause of the fire is still unknown.
