Dallas judge warned to be on alert following death of prominent attorney

The suspicious death of a prominent Dallas attorney has a Dallas County judge under guard.

The sheriff’s department is providing increased security for 14th Judicial District Judge Eric Moyé. He believes there may be a connection between a civil suit going on in his court and the death of prominent local attorney Ira Tobolowsky.

Tobolowsky was found inside the burning garage of his North Dallas home on Friday. Dallas Fire Rescue investigators said arson is a possibility.

Police and the sheriff’s office told the judge to be on alert. Hours after the warning, Moyé said someone followed him as he was on the Dallas North Tollway.

A picture of his car was posted on Facebook with a post saying the driver of the car pulled a gun on her. Judge Moyé said he thought the driver was tailgating him and he placed a gun on his passenger seat.

FOX 4 talked to the driver who denied tailgating the judge.
