The Texas Rangers have made a deal to trade a key member of their 2023 World Series team.

What we know: The trade sends first baseman Nathaniel Lowe to Washington Nationals for left-handed reliever Robert Garcia.

Lowe won a Gold Glove Award in 2023 and a Silver Slugger Award for the Rangers in 2022.

The Rangers posted a thank you to Lowe on social media.

"For your countless contributions to the organization, clubhouse and community," reads the post. "Thank you, Nathaniel, you'll forever be a World Series champ."

The Rangers traded for Jake Burger earlier this offseason, who will likely serve as the team's new first baseman.

Robert Garcia will also give the Rangers another bullpen arm.

By The Numbers: Lowe hit .265 with 16 home runs in 2024.

Burger hit .250 and slugged 29 homers last year.

Garcia put up a 4.22 ERA in 2024, but strikes out a healthy 11.3 batters per 9 innings.
