Big Tex installed for the State Fair of Texas
DALLAS - Everyone’s favorite gigantic cowboy is now ready for the State Fair of Texas.
Big Tex was rolled out before dawn and installed in Big Tex Circle around 10 a.m. Friday. Then workers put on his size 96 boots.
The 55-foot cowboy is the face of the fair. This year he’ll be wearing a special ribbon in memory of officers killed during the July 7 ambush in Downtown Dallas.
You can see Big Tex during his 24-day run of the fair. It opens in Fair Park next Friday.
