7 people detained in Keller ID theft ring bust
KELLER, Texas - Keller police said they worked with a federal agency to make some arrests connected to an identity theft ring investigation Thursday morning.
Officers from Keller and other agencies went to a home on Buckner Lane and Shady Grove Road around 6 a.m. to execute a search warrant.
The loud bangs neighbors may have heard were what police call “diversionary and breaching” devices. No one was hurt during the bust, police said.
A total of seven people were detained. Some will be arrested and are facing federal charges.
Those involved in the case reportedly used stolen IDs, credit cards and bank account numbers to make purchases across North Texas.
