In addition to the remains of Gabby Petito and Brian Laundrie being discovered, an additional six bodies were found across the country amid a search that made national headlines.

Investigators in Arkansas say they have recovered a vehicle matching the description of a car that belonged to a mother who was reported missing 23 years ago along with her young daughter.

The North Port Police Department is dispelling reports that DNA does not match the remains of Brian Laundrie.

According to a North Port police spokesman, detectives had set up cameras around the Laundries' home in North Port to monitor Brian's movement after Gabby's family reported her missing.

Brian Laundrie's notebook and backpack were discovered near his remains, and though the area had previously been underwater, investigators say the notebook could provide answers about Laundrie's final days.

The body that was found Wednesday belonged to Brian Laundrie, the only person of interest in the Gabby Petito case, officials say.

The FBI confirmed to reporters in Florida Wednesday that investigators found what appear to be human remains, "along with personal items, such as a backpack and notebook belonging to Brian Laundrie," just hours after Laundrie's parents searched the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park.

“I said, ‘You might want to change your appearance for a while or this will continue to happen where you go,’” Graham County Sheriff Jerry Crisp told Severin Beckwith, the Brian Laundrie doppelgänger.

Crews have found human remains in the SUV that was pulled from the bottom of the Ohio River. The vehicle belonged to an Ohio mother who went missing in 2002 with her two young children.

The last time Brian Laundrie was seen was back on Sept. 13, according to his parents, authorities say. One month later, his whereabouts remain unknown.
