Texas Rangers celebrate advancing to the World Series for the first time since 2011

The Texas Rangers are headed back to the World Series and put together a championship-worthy celebration on Monday night.

Following the 11-4 win over the Houston Astros the Rangers made their way to the locker room, where they had plenty of beer and champagne to celebrate.

"There's no words to describe how good this feels," said Rangers catcher Jonah Heim. "Nobody gave us a shot at the beginning of the year, we proved everybody wrong and we're going to the World Series!"

Rangers All-Star shortstop Marcus Semien said it was a little sweeter to get the win over the Astros.

"Of course, it's a team I've been battling against for years. Being in this division, they've been a dynasty for a long time, so for us to put up 20 runs in 2 games in this building, it was huge for us," he said.

Evan Carter, just a few months after his 21st birthday, took part in the celebration as well.

Carter is a rookie, but hasn't played like one in the postseason.

He credited the rest of the team around him for keeping him composed.

"It's just a great group of guys, a lot of people around me, encouraging me and making them feel welcome. So I'm really thankful for that, ready for this World Series," Carter said.

Fellow rookie Josh Jung called the season a roller coaster, but had a message for fans.

"We're not done yet. Let's go get 4 more," Jung said.

The Rangers have won 8 consecutive road games, something only the 1996 Yankees has done in the past.

"Maybe we just make good villains, I'm not sure, but, you know, we're doing it," said Rangers pitcher Jon Gray.

"I think we take it one game at a time and that's one of the things I think that's made us so efficient," said starter Nathan Eovaldi.

In addition to the drinks, the team also celebrated with a bit of Creed.

The players broke out into a rendition of ‘Higher' by the band at multiple times during their celebration.

Creed streams increased 175% since the start of the Rangers playoff run.

The Rangers will play either the Arizona Diamondbacks or the Philadelphia Phillies in the World Series.

Game 7 of the NLCS will be played tomorrow night.

Game 1 of the World Series will be held in Arlington on Friday.
