4 Rangers players chosen to start in All-Star game
Major League Baseball's All-Star game will be in Seattle. But Rangers field reporter Emily Jones said it might feel a little like a Rangers home game. Four Texas players were voted in as starters. It's a first for the franchise.
For the first time in franchise history, four Texas Rangers were voted in as starters for the All-Star game.
Marcus Semien was the leading vote-getter among second basemen in the American League.

Shortstop Corey Seager was also voted in. It's his second straight All-Star appearance.
"Obviously, the All-Star game is really cool and anybody who gets to go it's exciting to participate. But to be a starter for the first time is exciting, you know. I'm really looking forward to it," Seager said.
Third baseman Josh Jung will be the first Rangers' rookie to start in an All-Star game.

Spencer Torkelson homered twice and Andy Ibañez had the go-ahead RBI single as the Detroit Tigers earned a series split against the AL West-leading Texas Rangers with a 8-5 victory.
And catcher Jonah Heim was also voted in by the fans.
"Obviously, it's a tremendous honor to represent the organization like this, especially with the other three guys," Heim said. "It's going to be a lot of fun and I'm very excited."
"It's just a star-studded event. So it'll be fun. They'll be some god baseball. I think the All-Star game is the best All-Star game in sports because we all go hard in that game. So, it'll be really fun to watch, I'm sure, for the fans," Semien added.

The Rangers have not had a player start in the All-Star game in 11 years.
Texas' previous high was three starters in 2012, when Adrian Beltré, Josh Hamilton and Mike Napoli were picked.
Outfielder Adolis Garcia narrowly missed the cut, but there is a chance he could replace injured Aaron Judge in the starting lineup.
The game is on July 11 at Seattle's T-Mobile Park. It will air on FOX 4.
