The only thing hotter in Arlington than the scorching temperatures might be Rougned Odor's bat.

The Rangers second baseman won the AL Player of the Week award Monday after going 8-for-13 (.615) with a home run, 3 RBI and 2 runs in the weekend series against the Indians.

It's the third time Odor has won the weekly award. He also took home the honor for Aug. 27-Sept. 4, 2016 and July 20-26, 2015.

Odor is the first Rangers player to win it since Adrian Beltre in July of 2017.

Since the All-Star break, Odor leads the AL in hits (8) and ranks second in total bases (11). His batting average has spiked from .203 in the month of May to .364 so far in July.
