Dallas weather: Oct. 19 afternoon forecast

FOX 4 meteorologist Dylan Federico takes a look at what the temperatures will be like for this evening's Rangers game and the warm up we are going to see over the next few days.

The MLB is changing things up for Game 4 of the ALCS between the Texas Rangers and Houston Astros by opening the roof of Globe Life Field in Arlington.

The Rangers made the announcement on social media just after noon with the caption "Beautiful night for baseball."

During the playoffs, the MLB makes the decision about the roof status, not the Rangers.

Temperatures are expected to be 76 degrees for the 7:03 p.m. first pitch.

The roof has not been opened since May 21, when the Rangers played the Colorado Rockies.

Since the stadium opened in 2020, the Rangers have played 44 games with the roof open. The Rangers are 20-24 in those games.

Dave Raymond: Astros not happy about open roof

Texas Rangers play-by-play man Dave Raymond talks about Game 4 of the ALCS between the Rangers and Houston Astros. Raymond says that the Astros were not thrilled with the decision to open the roof at Globe Life Field.

In 2023, the Rangers are 7-4 with the roof open.

The official attendance for Wednesday night's game was listed at 42,368, a new record for a game at Globe Life Field.
