The Mavericks have released their summer league roster, and Luka Doncic is included, along with Dallas' three other picks from the 2018 NBA draft.
But based on coach Rick Carlisle's comments following Doncic's selection, it's unlikely that the 19-year-old will play. Doncic just finished his EuroLeague schedule right before the draft, and the Mavericks want to ease him into his NBA workload.
All 30 teams will compete in the MGM Resorts NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, with each team playing at least five games and as many as eight. Three preliminary games determine seeding in a tournament that concludes on July 17.
The schedule for the Mavs' three preliminary games:
- Game 1: Friday, July 6 vs. Suns at 8:30 p.m. (ESPN)
- Game 2: Sunday, July 8 vs. Bucks at 6:00 p.m. (NBA TV)
- Game 3: Monday, July 9 vs. Warriors at 6:30 p.m. (NBA TV)
