Dallas Lincoln beats Silsbee in Class 4A boys championship
SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Kortrjik Miles scored 28 points as Dallas Lincoln defeated Silsbee 75-72 in the Class 4A championship game Saturday.
Miles also grabbed 11 rebounds and went 11-for-14 from the free-throw line as Dallas Lincoln (23-15) won its fourth title. Kennedy Milton added 14 points and Jabari Richardson scored 12 in the victory.
Silsbee (31-6) freshman guard Devon McCain was taken to the hospital after suffering an apparent head injury with 5:15 remaining in the third quarter. He was unintentionally hit in the head by a teammate's elbow and fell hard to the court where he hit his head again on the court.
Michael McCain led Silsbee with 15 points and six rebounds, while Trajan Harris added 11.
