CeeDee Lamb out for season with shoulder injury

ARLINGTON, TX - DECEMBER 22: CeeDee Lamb #88 of the Dallas Cowboys looks on from the sideline during the national anthem prior to an NFL football game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at AT&T Stadium on December 22, 2024 in Arlington, Texas.

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb will be out for the rest of the season.

What We Know: The team released a statement on Thursday announcing that Lamb will miss the last two games this season due to a nagging shoulder issue.

Lamb sprained the AC joint in his shoulder during a Nov. 3 game against the Atlanta Falcons.

The Cowboys said that additional exams on Lamb's shoulder showed the receiver's injury progressed to a point where they felt he needed to sit for the rest of the season.

Lamb signed a 4-year, $136 million deal with the Cowboys in August. He is currently the second-highest paid receiver in the NFL.

What's Next: Lamb will undergo treatment and rehab for his shoulder.

It is not expected to require surgery, and he is expected to make a full recovery.

By The Numbers: Lamb leads the Cowboys in receptions (101), receiving yards (1194) and receiving touchdowns (6).
