Anthony Davis to play against Nets on Monday night, reports say

Dallas Mavericks forward Anthony Davis will return to the floor for the first time since he was injured on Feb. 8, according to reports.

What we know:

ESPN's Shams Charania reports that Davis will play against the Brooklyn Nets on Monday night.

Davis injured his adductor in his first game with the Mavericks on Feb. 8. He scored 26 points, grabbed 16 rebounds and dished out 7 assists in 31 minutes in his debut.

Since then, the All-Star forward has worked for a chance to return this season, including multiple stints practicing with the Texas Legends.

Davis was traded to the Mavericks as a part of the package that sent Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers.

What we don't know:

It is not clear how much Davis will play in his return for the Mavericks.

Since Davis' injury, the Mavericks have a 6-12 record.

The Mavs (34-37) are currently 11th in the Western Conference, despite having the same record as the 10-seed Phoenix Suns.
