Wylie East HS student attempts suicide on campus Thursday
A Wylie East High School student attempted suicide on campus during the lunch-hour on Thursday, district officials said.
Wylie ISD said other students found the boy, but did not say where on campus the incident happened.
Paramedics were called and the student was taken to the hospital, but his condition has not been released.
The district says there was never a threat to students. Parents were given the opportunity to pick up their children early.
