Dallas Shooting: Feud led to shooting that killed 23-year-old, injured teen, police say

Salvador Martinez (Dallas PD)

Dallas police said an ongoing feud between two groups ended with a deadly shooting in Central Oak Cliff.

Just before 11 p.m. Tuesday, officers found Stephano Osorio, 23, and a 16-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds in a neighborhood near Jefferson Boulevard and Polk Street.

Witnesses told investigators they were at nearby Kidd Springs Park with the two victims when they noticed 20-year-old Salvador Martinez pulling into the parking lot in his black Ford Mustang, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

The witnesses said they'd known Martinez for a long time but over the past several months a violent conflict had developed. They accused Martinez of shooting at several vehicles and homes.

They all left the park in separate vehicles. That's when, according to the affidavit, Martinez began chasing the vehicle Osorio was driving.

Martinez allegedly chased the victims through the neighborhood and opened fire once they hit a road blocked by construction.

Plano police are investigating a shooting they believe started with an argument at an apartment pool.

Osorio died at the scene. The teen was hit in the leg and is expected to survive.

Officers arrested Martinez hours later based on the witness statements.

He was booked into the Dallas County jail and charged with murder.
