Whataburger coming to DFW Airport in 2019
DALLAS - People passing through DFW Airport soon will soon be able to satisfy their hankering for Whataburger.
DFW Airport confirmed the rumors and announced the news on its Twitter with a short video posted Thursday afternoon.
The plans are to bring Texas’ iconic fast-food chain to Terminal E next year. The airport’s board of directors has approved the plan.
Whataburger said it is excited about the idea and loves hearing from so many fans traveling through DFW Airport who would like to see a restaurant there.
“There are a number of factors that go into our decision to build a restaurant in any location, and this vote is one of several steps needed to move forward. At this time, no plans have been finalized. In the meantime, we encourage fans to visit us at any of our area restaurants for their favorite Whataburger meal 24 hours a day, seven days a week,” Whataburger Corporate Communications said in a statement.
The DFW Airport Whataburger is set to open in 2019.
There is already a Whataburger at Love Field in Dallas.
