Two dead after suspected red-light crash in Grand Prairie

Two people were killed early Monday morning in a car crash after police believe a driver ran a red light on a service road in Grand Prairie.

What we know:

The crash occurred around 4 a.m. at the intersection of the North Highway 161 service road and the westbound IH-30 service road.

According to police, a Nissan passenger car was traveling west on the IH-30 service road when the driver ran a red light and collided with a Dodge pickup truck heading south on the Highway 161 service road.

Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. There were no passengers in either vehicle.

The identities of the drivers have not yet been released. The crash remains under investigation.
