Radio’s DeDe McGuire hosts big voter registration event

Today is the last day to register to vote. To help educate and empower possible voters, DeDe with K104 and the DeDe McGuire Foundation has set up a big event Monday afternoon at Klyde Warren Park.

The deadline to register to vote for the November election is Monday.

Those who still need to register can fill out the form online at votetexas.gov. But it still must be print it out and mail it in.

Or, paper copies are available at local libraries and most post offices.

After the form is filled out, it must be mailed into the county voter registrar’s office and postmarked or received by Monday. 

To help educate and empower possible voters, DeDe McGuire with K104 and the DeDe McGuire Foundation set up a voter registration event Monday.

"Voting is our power. It's our way to be heard. This is our protest. Voting -- that's how you are heard. That's how you make change and if you're not part of the process you can't complain," the radio host said.

Her voter registration event runs thorugh 4 p.m. at Klyde Warren Park in Dallas.

Early voting for the November election starts on Oct. 13.

Election Day is Nov. 3.
