12 heat-related deaths reported in Tarrant County so far this summer

Tarrant County has confirmed a dozen deaths from heat-related illness so far this summer.

The medical examiner’s office has been tracking hyperthermia cases since May 1.

Eight people died in July.

The other four deaths happened in August.

Some victims had no working A/C, and others were working outside.

The youngest victim was a 26-year-old woman and the oldest was 79.
