Suspect in Bedford teen murder moved to adult jail
FORT WORTH, Texas - The teenager charged with the beating death of a Bedford girl is now in an adult jail.
Jordin Roache turned 17 on Friday. He’s accused of killing 14-year-old Kaytlynn Cargill. She disappeared last June and her body was found a few days later in an Arlington landfill.
Detectives said Roache killed Cargill with a hammer because of a disagreement about money. Her blood was found inside the apartment where he was staying.
Roache’s current booking photo from the Tarrant County jail was released on Tuesday. He has been certified to be tried as an adult for Cargill’s murder.
He is also facing a charge of tampering with evidence.
