A disturbing video shows a child getting hit by a car just seconds after he steps off a school bus in Richardson.

Dallas County Schools, which operates buses for several districts in North Texas, released video of the Sept. 1 incident.

The bus was stopped and had its stop sign out with its lights flashing. Luckily the 12-year-old boy was not seriously hurt.

DCS wanted to remind drivers that it is illegal for cars to drive past a school bus when the stop sign is out and the bus is loading or unloading children.
