A North Texas car dealer is offering a sizeable reward to help locate equipment stolen from a band that raises money to help injured veterans.
Someone broke into a trailer on Monday in Plano that belonged to Operation Rock the Troops, taking $20,000 worth of band equipment.
Filmmaker and musician Matthew JC owns Red Lux Productions. He says the trailer had guitars, P.A. and sound system equipment inside when someone stole everything.
"They took personally my guitars and all my equipment I've been using on our last seven world tours to 15 countries, 40 military bases and a thousand shows,” Matthew JC said.
The company for over a decade has travelled the world with Operation Rock the Troops to raise money to help with medical needs of veterans suffering from traumatic brain injuries.
While Plano police investigate, local businessman Randall Reed has put up a $10,000 reward for information leading investigators to the thieves.
"It’s equipment you can't replace and so I just want these perpetrators caught. So I'm will to pay a $10,000 reward."
Plano police are working to locate any surveillance video that may have recorded the thieves.
