President Obama addresses supporters at DNC events in North Texas
President Obama was in North Texas Saturday for a round of Democratic Party fundraising.
Mr. Obama attended two events in Dallas-the first, a rally and concert at Gilley's Dallas benefiting the Democratic National Committee and later, a "meet and greet" at a private residence to fundraise for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.
The president spent part of Friday in Austin where he was keynote speaker for the South By Southwest Interactive Festival. While in the capital city he took jabs at Donald Trump and his Make America Great slogan: "So what we should be focused on is how we can do even better, build on the progress we've made, not reverse it. Instead we've got a debate inside the other party that's fantasy and schoolyard taunts and selling stuff like it's the home shopping network." President Obama departed Dallas for Washington on Saturday evening.
