A woman is facing charges after driving into a pond in Frisco with her two children in the car on Halloween night.

Witnesses told police they saw 34-year-old Amy Gonzales Rodiles go off the road and drive into a pond at the north end of Duck’s Landing about 10 p.m. on Saturday.

She and two of her children – ages 8 and 10 years old – were able to climb out and swim to shore before the car ended up completely submerged under water.

None of them were hurt, but police said Gonzales Rodiles appeared to be drunk. She was arrested and charged with two counts of driving while intoxicated with a child passenger.

The children were evaluated by paramedics and released to a family member.

Gonzales Rodiles is now free on a $2,000 bond.
