FORT WORTH, Texas - The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating after a small plane crashed into Eagle Mountain Lake, west of Fort Worth, on Monday afternoon.
The Tarrant County Sheriff's Office said it happened in the northern part of the lake near Lakeside Drive.
Images from SKY 4 showed a plane fully submerged in the water about 200 yards from the shore.
There’s no word yet on how many people were on board or if anyone was hurt, but a dive team could be seen searching the water on Monday afternoon.
The sheriff's office said it is assisting the FAA and Tarrant Regional Water District with the investigation.
