Frisco police are searching for a gunman after a deadly shooting Wednesday morning at an upscale apartment complex.

Officers got a report of gunfire around 8 a.m. They found a man shot to death at the Republic House at Frisco Bridges. The gated complex is off Warren Parkway near the Dallas North Tollway.

Police are still trying to figure out what happened outside the apartments. They found a man dead from an apparent gunshot wound outside near the pool area.

SKY 4 captured several crime scene investigators combing the area to take photos, collect evidence, and spoke to possible witnesses. One vehicle towed away from the complex, but police haven’t said how the car is connected to the investigation.

Police haven’t made any arrests and are still looking for suspects, but they haven’t released a suspect description.

Residents who spoke to FOX 4 said they didn’t hear gunshots, but some of their neighbors did. It wasn’t until police came to their doors that they found out what happened.

“We did have a friend that was calling this morning asking if we’d heard anything,” recalled neighbor Ashley Dirks. “His wife heard shots and wasn’t for sure if it was or not. But he then he realized as he was walking to the gym that he saw the body.”

Even though police haven’t made an arrest yet, they say they believe it is an isolated incident.

Police are not identifying the victim or saying much about him, including whether or not he’s a resident of the complex.
