New evidence found in the Christina Morris case could delay her accused kidnapper’s trial.

Morris disappeared last year from a parking garage at the Shops at Legacy in Plano. She was last seen in surveillance video walking with Enrique Arochi.

Police arrested Arochi on kidnapping charges after they say Morris’ DNA was found in the trunk of his car.

During a pre-trial hearing Friday morning, prosecutors said they found new fibers in an HVAC.

The trial was scheduled to begin in November, but now may be delayed a bit because of the new evidence.

Attorneys also argued over whether phone calls Arochi made from jail should be allowed.

Morris’ family members were at Friday’s hearing. They said they are still holding on to hope that she will be found.

Arochi is also facing charges for the sexual assault of a child in an unrelated case.
