New Buc-ee's store opens near Texas Motor Speedway
FORT WORTH, Texas - A new Buc-ee’s store is now open in Fort Worth.
The travel center located near the Texas Motor Speedway on State Highway 114 and Interstate 35W opened at 6 a.m. Monday.
FOX 4 talked to several people who were waiting in line to be the first to check out the store and take a picture with its famous buck-toothed, baseball cap-wearing beaver mascot.
“The beaver nuggets are awesome, a must have if you’re on a road trip. Definitely the brisket tacos… the sauce is awesome,” said James Johnson.
Kimberly Gregg walked out with about 10 t-shirts. She said she already owns several Buc-ee’s shirts, and now she has some that say Fort Worth, Texas.
The new store features nearly 100 gas pumps, clean bathrooms, specialty snacks, gifts with the Buc-ee’s logo and more.
The first Buc-ee’s opened in 1982. This is the company’s 25th store and it will employ more than 200 people.
Another store is set to open soon in Denton.
