McKinney shooting: Man killed, 2 arrested for capital murder

McKinney police arrested two people for a deadly shooting on Sunday.

Police were called to the intersection of Woodberry Lane and Jordan Road just before 2 p.m.

They found a 23-year-old male in a white car who had been shot.

The officers tried to save the man’s life, but he died at the scene. He has not been identified at this time.

SWAT team members later arrested 24-year-old Donte Tyrone Murry, Jr. and 33-year-old Antwon Hamilton for capital murder.

Investigators believe Murry shot the victim and Hamilton helped to plan and commit the crime.
