Man arrested for Cockrell Hill road rage shooting

COCKRELL HILL, Texas - A North Texas man is facing charges for an alleged road rage incident that happened in Cockrell Hill earlier this month.
What we know:
Cockrell Hill police said the incident happened around 7:20 on Jan. 14 near W. Jefferson Boulevard and S. Cockrell Hill Road.
The victim called 911 after he said an aggressive driver pulled out a firearm and fired shots at his vehicle.
The victim wasn’t hurt and was able to give dispatchers a description of the suspect’s vehicle and license plate number.
Police used that information to identify the suspect as 25-year-old Victor Martinez Rubio of Dallas.
When officers questioned him, Martinez Rubio admitted to the shooting, police said.

Martinez Rubio was arrested and will face charges for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
He’s now being held in the Dallas County jail.
Police also seized a Glock 43X from Martinez Rubio’s home and his black 2020 GMC to continue their investigation.
