Lewisville Lake expected to spill over
LEWISVILLE, Texas - Excess water from Lake Ray Roberts could cause a spillover at Lewisville Lake.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers had to open the flood gates at Lake Ray Roberts after it filled with runoff from last weekend’s storms.
Ray Roberts is about 20 miles north of Lewisville Lake.
The corps says the water could go over the spillway at any point Thursday night.
The Lewisville dam is in need of significant and expensive repairs, but will hold for now.
