Twenty-five years after she was a breakthrough teenage artist, singer LeAnn Rimes is coming home for Christmas. She talks about that and more on Good Day.

Singer LeAnn Rimes will come to Texas next month for a holiday homecoming performance.

It’s hard to believe it’s been 25 years since her Grammy-winning debut album "Blue" was released.

The singer grew up in Garland.

She made history in 1997 as the youngest person to win a Grammy and the first country artist to win best new artist at 14 years old.

"I am really fortunate, and I look back on that little girl with awe," she said. "Really, really grateful. She’s taken me a long way."

Rimes will be at the Winspear Opera House on Dec. 17 for a special "Home for the Holidays" performance.
