According to the National Retail Federation, total spending on adult costumes is expected to reach $1.8 billion this year, while spending on children’s costumes is anticipated to hit $1.3 billion. Interest in pet costumes also remains high: pet owners are expected to spend some $700 million to dress up their pets.
