Hometown Heroes: The Golden Girls

For eight years, two friends have spent nearly every Tuesday at the Tarrant Area Food Bank.

Frances Senevey and Nancy Doty assemble a one-dish meal that's shrink-wrapped, flash frozen and delivered to clients in the 13 counties served by the Tarrant Area Food Bank.  The meals are given to senior citizens, people in homeless shelters and food pantries.

In total, the Tarrant Area Food Bank sends out 25 million meals a year. Frances and Nancy have prepped 250,000 of those meals.

The two Fort Worth friends are called "The Golden Girls" because they're dependable, friendly and fun. They say they're honored to be part of the team that feeds North Texans in need.
