Gun recovered after 2 people led state troopers on high speed chase that ended in Grand Prairie

Authorities arrested a man and woman in Grand Prairie who reportedly led state troopers on a high speed chase with their motorcycle late Friday night.

Few details were released about what led up to the chase, but it started just before 11 p.m. and involved DPS troopers.

The chase reportedly reached speeds of more than 100 mph, before ending in the 600 block of North Carrier Parkway in Grand Prairie.

According to state troopers, the riders threw a box that had a gun inside onto the road during the chase.

It is unclear why the officers initially tried to pull over the man and woman. They were take into custody, though it's not yet known what charges they could face.
