Fort Worth Police investigate early morning shooting near Texas Wesleyan University

Fort Worth - A person was shot early Tuesday near Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth.

Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 2800 block of Avenue K shortly after 2:30 a.m. 

Officers said the victim was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Fort Worth police are investigating. No further details have been released.
