Fort Worth police are searching for a man who fled on foot after a police chase Monday afternoon.

Fidel Martinez, 36, was under surveillance by Fort Worth police for a parole violation. When officers in marked cars approached Martinez he fled in a vehicle that police pursued into a Haltom City neighborhood.

The chase ended and both Martinez and a passenger abandoned the car and ran away. Police hunted down the passenger but Martinez was able to get away again when he carjacked a minivan in the neighborhood.

Martinez stole a silver 2007 Honda Odyssey with Texas license plates CPG5371.

Fort Worth police said anyone who sees Martinez should call 911 immediately as he is considered dangerous.
