2 kids among 5 killed in Fort Worth July 4 violence
Two children are among five people who died in a night of violence in Fort Worth.
FORT WORTH, Texas - Two people died, and several others were injured in a shooting at a Fourth of July block party in Fort Worth.
Police got a call about the shooting on Castleman Street near Highway 287 in southeast Fort Worth around 11:30 p.m. Thursday.
Witnesses said they were attending a block party when gunfire erupted.

Block party celebration turns deadly in Fort Worth
At least one person is dead and multiple are injured after a shooting during a block party in southeast Fort Worth. FOX 4's Paige Ellenberger has the latest.
Some thought it was just fireworks until they saw those who were shot.
"It was a couple of people injured there on the yard like this right here on the street injured. One of them not really moving," said Bobby Warner, who lives in the neighborhood. "We were just trying to enjoy the Fourth. It’s supposed to be a good day."
Fort Worth police confirmed four people were taken to the hospital.
One woman died from a gunshot wound and a second victim suffered a fatal medical emergency. The two other gunshot victims are expected to survive.
According to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office, 26-year-old Marcus Martin was one of the victims.
Police said the shooting took place as the crowd of 200 to 300 people were launching fireworks towards neighboring homes.

Police say 27-year-old Kanard Trent Murphy got into an argument with another man and then started shooting at each other. Two innocent, young sisters were caught in the crossfire.
Detectives believe there are multiple suspects responsible for the gunfire. They are still working to identify those suspects.
