Fort Worth bar shooting suspects arrested after chase

Two men who allegedly fired shots outside a Fort Worth bar are in custody following a weekend police chase.

What we know:

The chase started after Fort Worth police said two men fired shots outside the El Chingon Bar on Bledsoe Street around 10 p.m. on Sunday.

Officers who were working an off-duty job at the bar engaged the suspects as they tried to flee.

Police said the suspects fired shots at the off-duty officers, but they did not return fire.

Thankfully, no officers or bar patrols were hit. No one was hurt.

What we don't know:

The motive for the initial shooting is still unclear.

One suspect was taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Police said the other suspect shot him in the arm as they struggled over the gun.

One officer was also treated at the hospital after being injured while deploying spike strips.
