Ex-Melissa HS teacher not indicted on improper relationship with student charges
A former Melissa High School teacher accused of having an improper relationship with a student will not go to trial.
The Collin County grand jury decided not to indict Darrell Glenn Whitten. He was accused in 2015 of fondling and kissing a 17-year-old student and failing to report child abuse.
The school's band director, Michael Reddell, was arrested around the same time on charges he had sex with a student.
Reddell was indicted on those charges.
