Escaped prisoner from Palo Pinto County captured
MINERAL WELLS, Texas - An escaped prisoner is back in custody after three days on the run in Palo Pinto County.
Kevin Wayne Lee ran into a wooded area near the jail Saturday afternoon. The jail is in Mineral Wells, which is about 50 miles west of Fort Worth.
He was recaptured just after midnight Tuesday after being spotted near the Brazos River and Worth Ranch Boy Scout Camp.
Lee was in jail on charges including burglary, evading, resisting arrest and assault on a public servant. Now he’ll also facing charges for his escape.
