Dave Grohl, Foo Fighters singer, admits to fathering baby outside of his marriage
LOS ANGELES - Dave Grohl, the lead singer of the Foo Fighters, revealed Tuesday that he is fathering a daughter outside of his marriage.
"I've recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage," he revealed on social media on Sept. 10. "I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her."
Representatives for Grohl did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.
The 55-year-old continued, "I love my wife and children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We are grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together."
Social media users were quick to comment on the announcement – many showing their disappointment.
"There goes my hero….," one user wrote.

The Foo Fighters were also in the news last month after it was reported that they did not give Donald Trump’s campaign permission to play one of their songs at a recent campaign rally.
"Foo Fighters were not asked permission, and if they were they would not have granted it," a statement from the band’s representative told CNN, adding that any royalties the band received "as a result of this use will be donated to the Harris/Walz campaign."
Grohl is an American musician who founded the rock band Foo Fighters, of which he is the lead singer and guitarist. From 1990 to 1994, he was also the drummer of the grunge band Nirvana.
