Adelson family confirms intent to buy Mavs from Cuban
The Adelson family released a statement on Wednesday confirming the reports that the intend to buy the majority stake of the Dallas Mavericks from current owner Mark Cuban. The statement from the family also addressed the concerns that the team would be moved to Las Vegas.
The NBA is expected to vote on a possible majority sale of the Dallas Mavericks Wednesday.
Mark Cuban wants to sell the majority stake in the team to the Adelson and Dumont families.
They are known for making fortunes on Las Vegas casino developments.
Cuban would stay on board as a minority owner and stay in control of the team's basketball operations.
