Dallas ISD hall monitor arrested after punching student multiple times, documents say
DALLAS - A Dallas ISD hall monitor was arrested for an assault that happened at Kimball High School.
Marcel Brooks is charged with misdemeanor assault, after punching a 17-year-old student multiple times, dropping him to the floor and knocking off his glasses, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.
The affidavit says the student tried to stand up after being punched, but could not. He then stumbled, became dazed and passed out.
Police documents say the boy did not recall the attack and had to be shown video of the incident.
The school district confirmed the incident happened on the campus Friday, April 14, but did not elaborate on details.
Brooks was released on $1,500 bond.
