Dallas Fire-Rescue battles 3-alarm fire at Park Lane apartment

Crews in Dallas battled a three-alarm fire at an apartment building on Park Lane.

Fire was seen coming through the roof of the building not far from Walnut Hill Road around 1:23 p.m.

Dallas Fire-Rescue says the fire caused a partial collapse of the roof at the two-story apartment complex.

DFR says the fire was brought under control and declared out at 2:48 p.m.

Two people took themselves to a medical facility and were evaluated for minor injuries.

At least 12 apartments sustained damage, displacing an unknown number of residents.

DFR says the number of apartments damaged is likely higher than the original number.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
