Denton, TX - A crash on northbound I-35E near the University of North Texas campus in Denton left a dump truck hanging on a median wall and scattered debris and hazardous fluids across the highway.
The crash, which involved a dump truck, a sedan, and a pickup truck, is impacting both northbound and southbound lanes of I-35E. The dump truck was thrown onto the center median wall.
Traffic is moving slowly through the right shoulder, and traffic reporter Chip Waggoner said additional closures will be required when crews begin cleaning up the hazardous materials.
Emergency repairs to the median wall must be completed before the hazardous material cleanup can begin, delaying the reopening of all lanes. Officials estimate cleanup and repairs will take a few more hours, with lanes expected to reopen between 11 a.m. and noon.
At this time, no serious injuries have been reported.
FOX 4 will provide updates on traffic conditions as they become available.
